TagStrap with Airtag hidden storage

TagStrap is IDSworks new project in the camera accessaries market with an important function which we think photographers actually cares - tracking their valuable cameras.

TagStrap provides a hidden pocket build within the strap which allows users to place their apple AirTag inside so that they can track their valuables easily.

Adding an Airtag on valuables like cameras isn't a new idea, infact we had that idea since our first developing on our camera grips. At first we thought about placing the Air Tag inside our grip base but since the size of an airtage is pretty much the same witdth as the Leica M digital camera (M10 / M11) and it will make the base of our grip unnecessary thick we had that idea dropped back in the days. Than we had this idea of placing the Air Tag inside a strap instead, but back than we have no resouces or experence on creating leather goods we suspended this development for sometime. 

We however registered this structure concept back than and kept learning about leather goods manufacturing and hopefully we can create this product one day. Now is the time we finally launch our new product - TagStrap.

Our TagStrap comes in four colors: 

Red / Dark Green / Black / Gray

The fabric strap and the real leather ends are matched with similar color to provide a clean and simple look and with good quality construction in every aspect.

The connecting leather is 2mm thick with strengthening fiber inlay providing a firm construction. The connection ring is made by 304 stainless steel  with flat construction (much like your standard key ring) which eliminate ring from deforming when carrying strong loading (many connecting ring in the market are made with a wire based construction which can be deform under heavy loading).

Leather edges are covered with color matching elasticedge oil (much like a high end leather bag usual practice) to prevent mosture and increase durability.

Hidden compartment fix screw

The hidden compartment for Air Tag has an anti-loosing screw tailored made for this product with our logo on them. The logo was designed to be really small and placed on the screw instead of simply printed on the leather tips so that photography agency they can laser engrave their own logo or contact information, making the strap a personal item. The locking screw is made out of titainium.

Length of the strap (110CM)

There was some debate on wether we should add a length adjusting parts to this product. We have decided not to have this sort of adjustment in the end as we believe in simplicity and we don't want any hard buckles to scratch the lens and camera body. Length adjustable strap usually have hard connecting parts closer to the two tips and we believe that is a thread to the lens and camera body.

Since we are going down this road on making a non adjustable strap the length selection becomes very important. We have tested many different lenght and the lenght at 110CM is our ring to ring lenght.

At this length if you are using your camera strap on your neck and connect the tips on the camera strap anchor your camera should be in front of your belly. If you choose to use this strap on our Lens Down Bracket when you use this strap and carry your camera across your body the camera will be on your side of your waist. Of course you can further extend it by adding PD anchors at the tips of the strap.

We have only one length now, please make sure if this length fits your needs before ordering. 

Installing the apple AirTag 

Installing the Air Tag into the strap is pretty straight forward and I believe the following pictures explain itself. The following is our patented method for hidding the Air Tag.

Note: the top cover of the screw should match the shape of the connecting middle rod of the screw (This is the anti spin design to prevent the screw to come loose by itself)

Note on shipping options:

We actually subsidized on expedited shipping to certain location with our other grip products orders. Since this TagStrap has a much smaller unit cost, some remote location do have a higher expedited shipping cost we might not beable to sbusidized. Please select regular shipping if possible. Of course if you are ordering this along with other grip products than of course we can average out this cost and ship expedited. 

Since we are shipping with DDP arrangement for all the market we ship to, your local import duties are included in the price already and you are not expected to pay extra tax upon product arrival at local custom. For some markets with extreme import duties we simply drop that market now.
