IDSworks Pillar Grip for Leica M11 series

The first Leica M11 series grip is our IDSwork modular grip for M11 with our iconic grip design that comes with a look that many likes especially it provides the on grip coupling battery release and a metal cover. Such design makes the grip more visually pleasing. After the introduction of our D-Lux 8 grip which concentrate more on adaptability it turns out the classic pillar Grip design does have it's place.

Therefore we are applying the same design concept for the M11 series

In fact, I like the old M9 grip design much better than the current grip design from Leica as the round pillar shape provides a natural finger set in to hold the grip.

The pillar size is different from our D-Lux8. The pillar for the M series is 60mm in height with diameter at 22mm (D-Lux8 pillar is 55mm in height with dia. 20mm)

Directly integrated with ARCA dove tail to connect ARCA based tripod directly.

Aside from the grip shape, the base of the grip only adds a minimum of 5.5mm to the total height.

Further to that we have also designed the base to connect with PD capture clip so that it can directly attach to the capture clip.

There is now a hidden anchor to attach PD strip as well. It also can sit flat on the table even if the anchor is on the grip.

Unlike the original modular M11 grip it has no flip door and coupling parts making the cost much lower. By keeping the base thin, it still looks ok instead of seeing a huge hole at the bottom.

For Pillar Grip design there is also another advantage which benefit users with old Leica lens that has "goggles"! It will not block such lens for mounting. I guess that is why M9 grip was designed this way?

There are two grip pillar materials to choose from and two base color to choose from. The pillar are attached to the grip pad with metal to metal connection inside and there is no need to worry about pillar rotation because of internal position limiting pin.
